Together with the Swedish company, Nordic Exhibitions, Musealia opens the Auschwitz exhibition on May 26 in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city. With the proximity to Denmark and northern Europe, visitors are also expected outside Sweden’s borders. Already during the first week of ticket sales opening, about 17,000 tickets have been sold to both schools and public.
Malmö that recently hosted the International Holocaust Conference has a strong commitment for several reasons, one of them being its own history, since after the Second World War, the white buses came to the city with Jews who had just been liberated from the concentration camps.
The city has also worked for several years very actively and successfully to combat anti-Semitism.
